Jordan Jeter Cut 2011
The New York Yankees may be going fishing soon, but that has not stopped Derrick Jeter from sporting some fancy cleats on the field. Jordan Brand has announced that the player with the most hits, runs, and total bases in post season history will be taking to the field in his 10 signature shoe. Dubbed the “Jeter Cut”, the sits in all black leather with patent leather cover the toe and trailing through to the mudguard and heel cap. Also on the heel we find the number “2″, with a Jumpman appearing next to it on the lateral heel, just above the visible Max Air cushioning.Posted by pambon at 18.43 0 comments

Jordan Melo M7 – Jade
Yesterday we were treated to a glimpse of the new Melo M7 in Jade courtesy of Carmelo himself, but today we get an official look from Jordan Brand. INspired by the Jade stone often found in China, the new model place the dominantly white upper over Jade accents. The most striking feature of the new colorway is the completely jade colored outsole, and the contrasting red laces. Finally, a bit of wisdom is bestowed upon the silhouette in the form of a Chinese proverb which reads, “If the jade is not polished, it will not be a gem,” or in other words – “practice makes perfect.” Look for this new colorway to launch near the beginning of the season.Posted by pambon at 18.26 0 comments

Adidas Originals – Summer 2010 – Greeley Mid
adidas Originals is set to release a new model named the Greely Mid into the wild this coming July. The sneaker, a midtop silhouette, is named after the city in which the US adidas headquarters is located. The model sports a very casual style with a suede upper. Zig-zag stitching as well as a crepe sole help take the athletic shoe vibe away from the sneaker and give it an upscale appeal. Look for the sneaker to release this July in grey or tan.Posted by pambon at 18.25 0 comments

adidas Superstar 80s – Blue Suede
The blue suede upper is matched with a blue rubber toe camp and leather lining. Meanwhile white leather can be found on the heel tab, stripes and sole. The spaces between the stripes are populated with perforations to help make this design breathable but chances are you wont be doing much but chilling in these anyway. Look for them to be at select retailers this summer.

Converse Shoes
Marquis Converse laid the foundation of the Converse Shoe Company in 1908. The company is also quite well-known as the Boston Rubber Shoe Company that has been producing quality shoes since the beginning of the 20th century. Their winterized rubber sole shoes are quite popular among kids, men and women. The company saw immense popularity in a very short span of time and just in two years it began to produce 4,000 pair of shoes per day. In 1915, the company also started the production of tennis shoes.
The company started the production of its well-known basketball shoes during 1917 and it was considered an impressive innovation as basketball wasn’t an old sport at that time. Converse shoes saw a big break when they were approved by famous basketball player Chuck Taylor as his favorite shoes.
Chuck Taylor had to suffer from sore feet in 1921, at that time the company came to his support and helped him to alleviate pain as well as provided him with a job in the company. Chuck Taylor was so much impressed with Converse shoes’ designs that he decided to work as an ambassador of the company to promote the brand all over the US. He also worked as a salesman for the company soon became its leading salesman. After some time, he suggested few changes in the design of the shoes and thus the shoes got the name of Star basketball shoes that were also called “Cons” , “Chucker Boots” , “Chucks” and “Converse” for their high styling.
To match with the uniform colors of some specific basketball team, Converse’s colored shoelaces got tremendous popularity with their traditional white and black trademark during 1966. The consumers began to demand for more shoes’ varieties and the basketball teams also pressurized for shoes of their specific colors. Thus it became the cause of not only of more colors but also of more styles in basketball shoes. The company introduced high-top, knee-high and Oxford versions of their shoes soon. Different materials like vinyl, leather, hemp and denim were used for the construction of these shoes.
Afterward, some other versions, which held up by elastic, were introduced and these versions were without laces.

Lodi Fall-Winter 2009/2010 Collection

Huge heels and comfortable platforms shoes will be two main trends for the next winter season. Lodi, the Spanish shoes store, have included them in its new collection.

There are several elegant and sophisticated designs, but the best thing of this collection is that there are also several choices for every moment of every day and for any occasion.

Oh, black. This color cannot be missed in any collection, especially in winter.

The purple color is also present in this Fall-Winter collection. It is very easy of combining and adds contrast to your looks. And, if you are bored of conventional and very dark looks, this color is a great choice to add a special and trendy touch.

To wear during the day: oxford shoes, boots, and booties, which can be worn with jeans as much as with skirts or dresses.

In the following picture, there are more options that also can be worn with jeans:

Some colors like fuchsia and red are passionate and very attractive. And you stand out from the crowd when you use these colors. Even in winter when the sunlight is weak.

Of course, there is also some space for the boots in this collection. Mainly they are available in gray tones and brown. By the way, this year, gray tones have been really a hit.

No doubt, this is a fabulous collection. In fact, it is one of Lodi’s best collections ever.

Proenza Schouler Shoes Resort 2010

I don't often post about shoes. I do love shoes but I think they have to be something pretty special to catch my attention amongst the many different shoes in the world. Today I just couldn't help myself. I spotted the most amazing Proenza Schouler Shoes in the Resort 2010 collection. The bad news is that they are a bit (well alot actually) out of my price range. But the good news is that I have got until spring 2010 to save up. I am as we speak making myself a Proenza Shouler shoe money box. I also would have great difficulty deciding between them, but I suppose I have a while to make up my mind.At the moment, I think the blue flat sandals are possibly in the lead or maybe the yellow ones.
